SilverStone SX750 SFX 80PLUS Platinum Power Supply Overview
SilverStone Technology has given us the SX750 SFX 80PLUS Platinum Power Supply to check out. It is currently SilverStone’s highest-wattage SFX power supply with 80PLUS Platinum certification. It features a fully modular cable design with flat black cables for easy cable management.

Closer Look
The SilverStone SX750 Platinum has quite a few improvements over the older generation SilverStone SFX-Gold power supply units aside from the higher wattage capacity. The labels on the SX750 Platinum are much simpler and the modular cable connectors are now better compared to the SilverStone SX700-LPT wherein the cable connectors are slighting protruding.
SilverStone SX750 Platinum and ST45SF-Gold Comparison
I also have a SilverStone ST45SF-Gold SFX power supply and made a comparison with the SX750 Platinum. The flat black cables is a huge plus when it comes to small-form-factor PC builds wherein you’d be challenged with the limited space. The flat black cables are more flexible compared to the stock cables of the ST45SF-G.
Furthermore, the SilverStone SX750 Platinum now has a power switch located at the rear, allowing you to safely drain the stored power in the PSU and avoid creating sparks when plugging the PSU to the wall. You can also notice the larger 92mm dual-ball bearing fan of the SX750 Platinum along with the more aesthetic fan grill with SilverStone logo.
I am yet to install the SilverStone SX750 Platinum to a working system. I will update this article once I get to observe how loud and hot the power supply can be when hooked into a working system.
