AsiaHorse Power Supply Sleeved Extension Cable Kit Review
Building a neat and aesthetic gaming PC is an objective for most gamers and PC enthusiasts. Cable management is perhaps the most tedious task any builder would do in building a proper gaming PC. While choosing a power supply unit with a modular cable design does help in using the minimum amount of cables, it barely offers aesthetics. For this, extension cable kits are a popular option for builders who want to improve aesthetics.
Nowadays, there are numerous options when it comes to extension cable kits including kits from the PSU brands themselves. Then there are third-party offerings from brands like AsiaHorse – an emerging brand that specializes in desktop PC accessories such as extension cable kits. I got one of their cable kits which features 16 AWG cables in a white and purple color scheme.
The AsiaHorse Power Supply Sleeved Extension Cable Kit comes with a set of white cable combs for each cable. The kit includes one 24-pin cable, two 4+4 EPS cables, and three 6+2 PCI-e cables. The kit is enough to cover all the possible cables you’d use that are visible on the front end of a typical chassis with a tempered glass side panel. The cable kit supports graphics cards with up to three 8-pin PCIe connectors which pretty much covers most high-end graphics cards other than those that use the newer 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors.
Key Features
- Support Double CPU Motherboard: Includes 1x 24 Pin ATX Extension Cable, 2x 4+4 Pin EPS Cable, 3x 8 to 6+2 Pin PCI-E Cable with four cable combs of each cable. 2x dual 4+4PIN CPU power cables bundled in one package. Support Double CPU M/B for two-way performance to provide extreme performance with a 2-way overclocking power supply.
- High-Quality Gold-Plated Terminals: The connector of the GPU cable is designed with a unique gold port, which is more durable and can withstand daily wear and tear. Lifespan is 12X longer than ordinary power extension cords and tested to withstand over 15000 bends in strict laboratory tests.
- Upgraded 16AWG Cables: The UL1015 16AWG wire used has a higher copper content and supports higher current output, solving the problem of power cords getting hot from the root due to the use of high-power products.
- Multiple Color Options: The new Snow White range comes with a white connector, white cable and white cable comb, plus a wide range of colors to choose from to match your build.

A Closer Look
The cable kit comes in a sturdy box. Aside from the cables and cable combs, AsiaHorse even included an operation guide that answers a few FAQs, provides installation tips, and troubleshooting tips for loose pins.
AsiaHorse’s extension cables are very impressive with its matching white connectors and cable combs with AsiaHorse branding. The sleeve’s purple and white colors are quite vibrant as well.
AsiaHorse did include cable combs for the 3-pin PCI-E configuration as shown in the image above. You would not be able to remove the excess cable but you can easily tuck it in from the backside of the chassis.
The cables are very flexible, the 24-pin cable extension bends under its own weight demonstrating how flexible these cables are. I had a CableMod PSU cable kit and a Primochill PSU cable kit, AsiaHorse’s cables are significantly more flexible. The colors of the AsiaHorse cables are also more vibrant.
Final Thoughts
The AsiaHorse Power Supply Sleeved Extension Cable Kit is a good aesthetic upgrade for any gaming PC particularly for white-themed gaming PCs. AsiaHorse does have black colored cable kits as well with black connectors. Let me summarize my thoughts about the cable kits below.
Build Quality: 9/10
The cable kit does look good and the sleeves shine when illuminated with LED lighting. The combs and connectors aren’t perfect, some combs and connectors have a tiny bit of plastic left from the molding process but this can be easily removed with a box cutter. Excellent but not perfect.
Ease of Use: 10/10
The flexibility of the cables makes it very easy to use during installation. You can achieve the desired bend of these cables easily and the combs ensure each cable is parallel to each other.
For a price of US$32.99 for this particular kit, this is excellent for white-themed builds. Checking out online, it is actually hard to find white extension cables with matching white connectors. The majority of the PSU extension cable kits you can find online, including those from popular brands, come with black connectors.
But what if you need fewer PCIe 6+2 cables or the 8+8 EPS cable? AsiaHorse does have extension cable kits with fewer cables for builds using graphics cards with fewer PCIe power connectors like the NVIDIA RTX 4060/4060 Ti graphics cards. These kits are also cheaper at $22.99 but these come with black connectors.
If you are building a white-themed gaming PC and your power supply does not come with white-colored cables, I highly recommend the AsiaHorse Power Supply Sleeved Extension Cable Kit. They have several colors available including White, Red+White, Purple+White, Blue+White+Gray, and Red+White+Gray which you can see below.
However, this cable kit can only be used for builds using graphics cards that are still using the older power connector standard and not the new 12VHPWR or 12V-2X6 standard. AsiaHorse does have an 8-pin PCIe to 12VHPWR adapter, sold separately on Amazon, available in different colors including a white cable with white connectors.
Pricing and Availability
The AsiaHorse Power Supply Sleeved Extension Cable Kits are available in the United States via the AsiaHorse Amazon Store for $32.99 and have over 2,000 ratings. AsiaHorse appears to have a store on Newegg but has very few products listed. In Europe, AsiaHorse has an Amazon Store in Germany. In Asia, the AsiaHorse cable kits can be found on popular online retailers like Shopee and Lazada.
